iDigBio Summit II Report
Summary
The second annual iDigBio Summit was held on October 23-24, 2012, in Gainesville, Florida, and was completed with great success! The Summit promoted clarification of objectives, communication of progress towards achieving objectives, identification and discussion of challenges and opportunities, and collaboration among stakeholders.
iDigBio Service Level Agreement SLA
INTRODUCTION
The resources of Integrated Digitized Biocollections (“iDigBio”) are free, publicly-available, open-source computing resources and services. The purpose of this Service Level Agreement (SLA) is to define the terms of service for the website, wiki, portal, appliances, Application Programming Interface (API), Data, information, and other products and services offered by iDigBio (“iDigBio Services”). iDigBio is a program of the Florida Museum of Natural History, a unit of the University of Florida, a public body corporate of the State of Florida.

Project Scope
Welcome to Integrated Digitized Biocollections (iDigBio), the national coordinating center for the Advancing Digitization of Biodiversity Collections (ADBC) program funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). iDigBio is enabling digitization of data and media for millions of biodiversity specimens from U.S. collections and is integrating those data to make them available online for the research community, government agencies, students, educators, citizen scientists, and the general public to promote understanding of biodiversity and societal consequences of environmental issues.
