The collection includes more than 1,200 tissues from fishes (especially Gobiiformes) and approximately 3,300 avian tissue samples (usually breast, liver, and heart muscle). Tissues are stored in cryogenic tubes in freezers, and are available for subsampling for studies of DNA or other molecular work.
