| Abstract | In cultural institutions across the world, natural history collections serve diverse crowds and diverse interests. A natural history collection is in fact a heritage site whose full potential is still being realized. In this presentation, I will reflect on some of the ways in which collections have facilitated education and outreach in my own career, drawing on examples from research in the tropics to research very near home. |
