A Leopard Shark (Triakis semifasciata) was found in Samish Bay, Washington, making it the northern-most record for this species (the range had previously been documented from Oregon to the Gulf of California).
This specimen is housed at the Burke Museum and was featured in the article "10 weirdest Fishes at the Burke" and cited in a publication extending the northern range of the Leopard Shark. Image courtesy of the Burke Museum.
