Symbiota2 Technical Update

We are approaching the end of the first year of funding on the Symbiota2 NSF-ABI project. This webinar serves as technical update on progress to date. It is directed primarily at potential Symbiota2 developers and Symbiota portal managers. We describe the internal architecture of Symbiota2, in particular the database abstraction layer and web service endpoints, and how the architecture will provide support for plugins designed by third-party developers. Warning, this webinar will be short on biology and may raise your geekiness to unhealthy levels.

To attend the meeting, login at http://idigbio.adobeconnect.com/room/, select “Enter as guest,” enter your full name, and click Enter room. Please enter the room 15 minutes before the meeting to test your mic and cam, then you can come back at the start of the meeting. Please use a headset if you want to talk unless you know for sure your non-headset mic works without causing reverberations, and please make sure you are muted when not talking.
