FSUS (Fla High) has begun a focus on STEAM (Science Technology Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) across the entire school, K-12 and has organized a school-wide, K-12 event to be held on Friday, February 19, 2016, on the FSUS campus in Southwood.
The goal is to bring a universal focus to the entire school on Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematics
Objectives:
- Demonstrate the practical applications of STEAM to everyday life
- Demonstrate new and advanced technologies and the changes they are making to everyday life
- Demonstrate the various job applications that are impacted by STEAM
- Generate interest amongst teachers to embed STEAM curricula throughout their classes/courses
- Generate interest amongst students to apply themselves in STEAM coursework and projects
