Welcome to our new series, Collections Education Coffee Break! These are short 30-minute sessions featuring a natural history collections-focused education or outreach resource created as part of the Advancing Digitization of Biodiversity Collections program. There will be 10-15 mins of presentation/demo time and then 10-15 mins for Q&A and discussion with each presenter. July 21: Jonathan Hendricks, Elizabeth Hermsen (Paleontological Research Institution), and Bruce Lieberman (KU Biodiversity Institute) presenting on Digital Atlas of Ancient Life fossil field guides and app from the PaleoNiches TCN.
August 18: Anne Basham (Founder ExplorMor Labs LLC/Co-Founder Bon-Earth, LeptNet and SCAN) presenting "Natural history collections that connect marginalized elders with memory and the natural world."
September 15: Jaimi Gray (Florida Museum of Natural History) presenting on oVert resources.
October 20: Jonathan Hendricks (Paleontological Research Institution) and Bruce Lieberman (KU Biodiversity Institute) presenting "The Cretaceous World TCN: What’s the DEAL and what are our Apps and other resources."
November 17: Talia Karim (University of Colorado, Boulder) and Susan Butts (Yale Peabody Museum) presenting "Cretaceous World and other tools to bring collections into the classroom."
