from The Carpentries comes the first ever CarpentryCon(ference) 2018.

CarpentryCon 2018 is the key community-building and networking event in The Carpentries' annual calendar of activities. This event will bring together newer and more experienced community members to share knowledge, to network, to develop new skills, and to develop strategies for building strong local communities. The theme of the conference is "Building Locally, Connecting Globally".

Members of the University of Florida's Carpentries Community and iDigBio staff are headed to Dublin, Ireland for this meeting from May 30 - June 1, 2018. We look forward to conversations about further development of a community-built, community-maintained Carpentries lesson tailored to the network who produce and use collections biodiversity data. And, we also intend to continue nurturing a vision to build a strong Carpentries-skilled cohort inside the North American museum network to support sustainable and flexible biodiversity informatics training.

Start Date:
Wednesday, May 30, 2018 (All day) to Friday, June 01, 2018 (All day)
Location:
University College Dublin, Ireland
