Canadian concession maps

I've got a few fossils from Lot 24, Concession XI, Bidwell Twp, Manitoulin, Ontario. I am having no luck finding concession maps online to figure out where exactly this is from. Anybody have any tips?

Hi Jessica,
I've had a brief conversation with Brad Millen at the Royal Ontario Museum about your question.  His response is below (actually, responses).  I hope it helps.
"Hi Dave:

A number of years ago I found in my local bookstore a map book of Ontario. I realise in this relatively inexpensive book all of the maps for Southern Ontario were replicas of 1:250 K maps. Also, all of the townships were marked with their respective Concessions and Lots (Both Numbered). With this I am able to assign coordinates using Google Maps.

My Treasure!!!!!! Shades of Gollum...

This little Atlas titled:

Rand McNally Provincial Road Atlas has an ISBN of:

ISBN 0-88640-782-6

Cost about 25 dollars if I remember correctly, best purchase I ever made for work use.

So that Lot 24, Concession XI, Bidwell Twp, Manitoulin, Ontario (This is Manitoulin District) is correct and is located... Well on Google Maps do a search on Britainville, ON, Canada.

You will see that on the Map that Hwy 542 comes from the East  and then curves North from Britainville. There is one square surrounded by roads to the NE of Britainville.
Concession 10 (X) and 11 (XI) are located between Evergreen Drive and Hwy 542.
E of Britainville to Lantree Sideroad there are 5 lots.
Divide the distance between Evergreen and Hwy 542 into two.
Concession 11 is the Concession just to the South of Evergreen.
Lot 24 is the second Lot East from Hwy 542 running North from Britainville.  Lot 25 is the first Lot East. Lots count down E of Britainville and up to about 30 W of Britainville.
So coordinates from Google Maps are 45.74362850761724 -82.39462852478027 from the LatLong Croshairs with an Extent of about 610 m.

Great for townships S of the French and Mattawa River in Ontario which is the Geographical boundary between North and Southern Ontario.

Hope that this is easy to follow.

Brad"
Brad adds the following:
"here is a neat couple of pages
