The taxonomic data cleaning tool checks for names that aren't connected to the central thesaurus, then automatically searches Tropicos and Catalog of Life for matches. If found, the name is automatically imported to the central thesaurus. If not found, the user has the option to remap to a correct name or manually enter the correction. The geographic cleaning tool automatically searches for potential mismatches in country, stateProvince, county, and locality and allows the user to make corrections from within the tool.
