The Future of Funding for Small Collections

Presenter/discussion leader: Roland Roberts, National Science Foundation Program Director for Collections in Support of Biological Research (CSBR) and Associate Professor, Towson University.

Date/time: 19 May 2014, 3:00 p.m. EDT

Financial support can be a major obstacle in the digitization and management of small natural history collections. As program director for CSBR, Roland Roberts has a unique perspective on the need for documenting impacts of small collections and how this documentation might be used to secure greater funding opportunities.  He will discuss NSF’s CSBR, ADBC, and other grant programs.

Meetings are virtual and accessible online at https://idigbio.adobeconnect.com/scnet. No special software outside of an internet browser is required to access the virtual meeting room.
