Biodiversity Heritage Library Data-mining Workshop

BHL now has a technical solution for serving all BHL textual data insanely fast, with occurrence of scientific names on every page as a bonus. This is something that has not been on BHL radar as a possibility until now. With this workshop/hackathon, there is an opportunity to try and incorporate this service and possibly others into their system as well. BHL team is small and busy with other things they do - this is a chance to share what else might be possible, and that the broader community could benefit from. Participants from all over the world, along with BHL staff will be able to try the (API) service, to understand possibilities and limitations. BHL's lead programmer Mike Lichtenberg, and sysadmin Joel Richard will participate.
