Overview

iDigBio supports a number of Working Groups. Several working groups are focused on the delivery of short-term objectives, while other standing Working Groups are tasked with ongoing research and improvement activities. This page provides an overview of both current (active) and disbanded (inactive) Working Groups.

Identify and improve aspects of biodiversity digitization workflows that can be newly architected or enhanced to take advance of Citizen Science engagement. The group will focus on: 1) Identifying steps in the digitization process that can benefit from Citizen Science; 2) Identify existing tools that could be used for these steps of the digitization process; 3) Identify existing best practices in Citizen Science; 4) Identify existing projects that are effectively using Citizen Science; 5) Identify gaps in existing Citizen Science tools; 6) Establish expertise within iDigBio to assist projects in the effective use of Citizen Scientists and tools.
