The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is hosting a Broadening Diversity workshop on April 6-7, 2018. This workshop is part of a western-US workshop series with a goal to introduce undergraduate students, especially those in underrepresented populations, to museum and biodiversity science careers.

Agenda: Friday Workshop, 6 April 2018

On Friday April 6, participants will have the opportunity to shadow museum staff in various research departments at the Natural History Museum as well as at La Brea Tar Pits and Museum and the Invertebrate Paleontology warehouse (Carson, CA). Participants will be notified in advance as to which department they will be shadowing, based on their registration information.

The half-day of shadowing will be begin at 9am with a light breakfast. Shadowing will take place from 9:30-12:30 and will be followed by lunch from 12:30-1:30. All shadowing activities will take place at your assigned location.
