The Norwegian and Nordic bryophyte herbarium contains more than 100 000 specimens, most of which have been digitized. Collections from the late 1800s and early 1900s comprise the foundation of this collection, primarily through the work of Ingebrigt Severin Hagen who worked at the NTNU University Museum from 1907 until his death in 1917.
