Collection RemarksShrub, 1-2 meters tall, flowers white. Abundant in north-facing slopes above 600 feet. Root Samples - 72% dry weight.

HabitatChaparral slopes in narrow canyon having Cneordium dumosum, Prunus fremontii, Heteromeles arbutifolia, Xylococcus bicolor, Ceanothus verrucosus (especially above 600 ft.), Rosa minutifolia, Adolphia cf. californica (ony in gullies), Rhus integrifolia, Keckia antirrhinoides, Aesculus parryi, Cercocarpus betuloides, Ribes, Fraxinus trifolia, Sphaeralcea, Artemisia californica, Simmondsia chinensis. Rock faces primarily dominated by Pinis. Juniperus californica occaional. Main wash with Baccharis sarothroides and Salix laevigata.
