Photos only; Rare, only individual seen, suggestive of O. engelmannii X O. chlorotica, 1-1/5 m high x 1-3/4 m wide, sparingly branched from base, erect, spines brownish-yellow, pad interior with little if any mucilage, very fibrous, flowers collected @ 5 pm, 80(l) x 70(w) mm, 70x55 mm, 70x65 mm, 70x68 mm, not fully opened, inner tepal 40x27 mm, obovate, laciniate apically, apiculate, orangeish-yellow, outer perianth green midstripe with reddish-tan margins to reddish-yellow with darker midstripe, filaments light chartreuse-yellow becoming cream-light yellow distally, anthers light cream-yellow, style light cream to light yellow, stigma lobes light chartreuse-green-cream; additional flowers collected 14 May 2011 @ 9:30 am, 65x80 mm, 68x76 mm, 75x67 mm (this one not fully opened), floral tube 39x29 mm, 40x26 mm, 41x21 mm, inner tepal 42x26 mm, 40x29 mm, 38x27 mm, obovate, apices laciniate, apiculate, light yellow with maroonish basally and midstripe, outer perianth light yellow with light green midstripe and apices, filaments light chartreuse basally becoming light cream (-light chartreuse) distally, anthers light cream, style whitish, stigma lobes light chartreuse green; fruits collected 6 August 2011, all laying on ground, 50(l)x32(w) mm, 53x37 mm, 53x34 mm, 47x36 mm, 48x33 mm, 56x33 mm, 49x35 mm, slightly oblique, obovate, red (yellow on sun-exposed side); fruits and more photos taken 6 August 2011, fruits 50hx32w mm, 53x37 mm, 47x36 mm, 56x33 mm, 53x34 mm, 48x33 mm, 49x35 mm, slightly oblique, red (yellow on sun-side), all on ground.
