AbstractThe California State Collection of Arthropods (CSCA) Frozen Tissue Collection (FTC) has the capacity to store over 30,000 samples in ultra-cold conditions. Already preserved in the collection are over 1,400 DNA samples, over 2,200 samples of DNA specimen vouchers (specimens from which DNA has been extracted) or whole identified specimens, and Mediterranean fruit fly DNA samples generated by Bruce McPheron (Penn State University). The CSCA FTC is searchable via the CSCA inventory database.
