iDigBio Biodiversity Informatics Coordinator
Caitlin “Cat” Chapman's role in iDigBio is facilitating mobilization of biodiversity data and media into the iDigBio specimen portal.
Cat has been working with digitized biodiversity collections data since 2012, and has an educational background in biology, specifically entomology and spider community ecology. Much of her research as an undergraduate at Northern Arizona University was made possible due to the availability of digitized biodiversity data, giving her a deep appreciation for the importance of digitized biocollections in science and research.
